Chemical Processing Application
Chemical Pipe Fixing
Chemical-resistant cable ties for pipe and instrument fixing in chemical plants, refineries, and processing facilities. Ties must withstand aggressive chemical exposure, elevated temperatures, and outdoor conditions while maintaining structural integrity.
Why Chemical Pipe Fixing Needs Specialized Cable Ties
Chemical processing facilities present uniquely aggressive environments for cable ties. Instrument wiring, sensing lines, and tracer tubing secured to process piping face exposure to acids, alkalis, solvents, and hydrocarbon vapors that rapidly degrade standard nylon. Ties that fail release wiring into process areas, creating trip hazards and potential damage to instrumentation.
Our chemical-resistant ties use engineered polymer formulations — PTFE, PVDF (Kynar), Halar (ECTFE), and PEEK — selected for specific chemical resistance profiles. PTFE ties resist virtually all chemicals and operate to +260°C. PVDF ties provide excellent resistance to halogens, strong acids, and UV at a more economical price point.

Key Challenges in Chemical Pipe Fixing
Understanding the specific demands helps select the right cable tie for each application.
Chemical Compatibility
No single polymer resists every chemical. We offer PTFE for universal resistance, PVDF for halogens and acids, PEEK for high-temp aggressive chemicals, and Halar for caustic environments.
Process Temperature
Chemical processes operate at elevated temperatures that accelerate polymer degradation. PEEK ties maintain full strength at +260°C continuous, suitable for steam-traced lines and reactor instrumentation.
Failure Consequences
A failed tie in a chemical plant can drop instrument wiring onto hot surfaces or into process areas, creating safety hazards. Chemical-resistant ties provide the reliability that safety-critical installations demand.
