Third-party tested UV resistance for outdoor cable tie applications. Tested to ASTM G154 (xenon arc) and ISO 4892-2. Data available for standard PA66, UV-stabilized PA66, and stainless steel.

ASTM G154 Testing
Our UV-stabilized nylon ties undergo 1,000 hours of accelerated weathering per ASTM G154 Cycle 1. We measure tensile strength retention, color change (Delta E), and surface degradation at 250h, 500h, and 1000h intervals.
Real-World Performance
UV-stabilized PA66 ties maintain >70% tensile strength after 3 years of outdoor exposure in temperate climates (equivalent to Florida/ Arizona test sites). Standard PA66 ties lose ~50% strength in the same period.

FAQ

Do you provide UV test certificates?

Yes. ASTM G154 test reports from SGS are included with UV-stabilized tie orders. Reports show tensile strength before/after exposure and colorimetry data.

What is the difference between UV-stabilized and UV-resistant?

UV-stabilized = carbon black added to absorb UV and prevent polymer degradation. UV-resistant = material formulation (like PA12) inherently resists UV. We offer both types.

How do I know if I need UV-stabilized ties?

If your installation has direct sunlight exposure for 6+ months/year, use UV-stabilized. For indoor or enclosed applications, standard PA66 is sufficient.
