EV Charging Station Cable Management — High-Voltage & Outdoor Solutions
Cable management for EV charging stations: high-voltage cable ties, UV-resistant outdoor fixings, cable protection for AC and DC fast chargers. IP68 rated solutions.
Industry Overview
EV charging infrastructure — from residential AC wall boxes to 350kW DC fast charging hubs — requires cable management that handles high voltage, outdoor exposure, and frequent cable handling. Our EV charging solutions cover cable routing inside the charger enclosure, outdoor cable protection, and user-facing cable management.
Key Challenges & Our Solutions
High Voltage Isolation
DC fast chargers operate at 400-1000V. Our cable ties and fixings are rated for high-voltage isolation with dielectric strength exceeding 20kV/mm.
Outdoor Durability
Public chargers face UV, rain, salt, and temperature extremes (-30C to +50C). Nylon 12 UV-stabilized ties and 316 stainless steel for 15+ year outdoor life.
User Cable Management
Charging cables are heavy (up to 20kg for 350kW) and frequently handled. Our cable retractors and strain relief systems prevent cable damage and improve user experience.
Thermal Management
Fast charging generates significant heat in cables and connectors. Our high-temperature ties (rated to 150C) and ventilated cable routing maintain safe operating temperatures.

Frequently Asked Questions
What voltage rating do EV charger cable ties need?
For DC fast chargers, cable ties should be rated for the system voltage plus safety margin. Our Nylon 12 ties are tested to 1500V DC isolation. For AC chargers (240-480V), standard nylon ties with 600V rating are sufficient.
How do you protect EV charging cables outdoors?
UV-stabilized Nylon 12 cable ties (25+ year outdoor life), 316 stainless steel ties for structural fixing, and corrugated conduit for mechanical cable protection. All materials tested to IEC 62275 for outdoor durability.
