Confirm grade and construction
Request the steel grade, coating, lock design, dimensions, tool and applicable material or test records for the proposed SKU.
Use the intended tool
Follow the tool’s installation and cut method and keep the operator clear of the finished edge. Validate on a representative sample.
Control the tail and edge
Check the cut, burrs, sharpness, clearance and adjacent insulation. Correct the installation before the route is released.
Inspect the installed tie
Record seating, locking, route, support, clearance, tool method and any inspection evidence required by the order.
