Cable Tie OEM/ODM Custom Guide | Sampling, Packaging & Change Control | CableTiesMFG

Custom cable ties are a controlled product-development project: freeze the requirement, approve the sample and keep every change traceable to the finished SKU.

CableTiesMFG is the public brand of Zhejiang Runbo Plastic Co., Ltd. Anhui Runbo Plastic Co., Ltd. is the manufacturing factory for the documented cable-tie scope. Product, factory and certificate applicability is confirmed per SKU and order.

1. Define the product brief

Record the application, dimensions, bundle geometry, material, color, marking, installation method, environment, quantity, packaging and destination. Identify which fields are fixed and which may be quoted as options.

2. Confirm design and tooling ownership

Ask for a drawing or design review, tooling responsibility, revision control, permitted use of artwork and treatment of buyer-owned information. A tooling discussion should identify the exact construction rather than promise a universal custom capability.

3. Approve a production-representative sample

Review the locking action, dimensions, color, marking, installation access and packaging on the actual proposed construction. Capture the model code and revision before approving a quote or artwork.

4. Control packaging and labeling

Specify pack count, bag or carton format, barcode, warning text, language, artwork revision and destination-market requirements. Keep packaging approval separate from product performance approval.

5. Define inspection and change control

Agree which dimensions, appearance, locking function, material records, labels and pack fields are checked. Decide how a material, mold, color, supplier or packaging change is reviewed before shipment.

6. Make the order evidence-ready

The final order should identify the approved SKU, drawing, sample, packaging revision, inspection plan, factory scope and applicable documents. If a field is still open, mark it open rather than inserting a family-level claim.

Buyer FAQs

Can a custom color be approved from a screen image?

Use a physical or otherwise controlled color reference and record the approval method. Screen color alone is not a reliable production standard.

Who owns the custom drawing or tooling?

Ownership and permitted use must be written into the project terms. Confirm this before tooling or artwork is released.

What is the safest OEM starting point?

Start with a complete brief and production-representative sample, then approve the drawing, pack artwork and inspection fields as separate gates.
